Adult Sizes: Directions are for misses’ size 10 and for men’s size 36.
Changes for misses’ 12, 14, 16, and 18 and for men’s 38, 40, 42, and 44 are in parentheses.
Sweater width around underarms: misses’, about 36 (38-40-42-44) inches, men’s, about 42 (44-46-48-50) inches.
Materials: Heavyweight knitting worsted, 23 (23-24-27-29) ozs for misses’,
25 (27-27-29-30) ozs for men’s.
Knitting needles 7 and 10, (4.5 and 6 mm) or size to for stitch gauge.
Gauge: 17 sts = 4 inches (stockinette st on No. 10 needles).
