1950s Vintage Babies First Jacket Set Knitting Pattern: Baby’s first sweater set consists of a small bonnet, tiny bootees and a jacket, all in easy plain knitting. For newborn to 3 months. Especially designed for the beginner.
Size: Jacket- To fit 17-inch Chest. Length at center back 8 1/2 inches.
Sleeve seam 5 inches. For newborn to 3 months.
Bonnet- Width all round at face edge 11 inches. Depth 5 1/2 inches.
Materials: Beehive Baby Wool Patonised (fingering yarn): 3 (1 oz) balls Main Color (B) and 1 ball Contrasting Color (A) for the stripes.
Two No. 10 Knitting Needles (3.25 mm) or size for tension given.
3 Buttons.
Gauge: 8 sts and 10 rows = 1 inch with No. 10 needles in Stocking st.
