Easy Cape Knitting Pattern, Crochet Hem Fringe Trim, Garter Stitch

Description

1970s Vintage Garter Stitch Cape Knitting Pattern (crocheted border): Cape is done in rows of garter stitch, all easy knitted rows. The border is done in simple crochet stitches, then the fringe added on.

Size: Excluding fringe, 38 inches down center back; 6 yds wide across lower edge.

Materials: Bucilla Knitting Worsted, 4 Ply or Fleisher’s Twin-Pak Superior Worsted,
4 Ply (4 oz, 270 yd balls): 9 balls.
Circular Needle, Size 10 1⁄2 (6.5 mm) – 29 inch length or size for gauge.
Crochet Hook, Size H (5 mm).

Gauge: Garter st, 10 sts = 3 inches; 12 rows (6 ridges) 2 inches.
