1970s Vintage Turtle Toy and Turtle Hassock Ride-On Toy Crochet Pattern: A turtle toy using a single strand of rug yarn in two colors and using three strands in two colors for a turtle hassock, riding toy. A shell stitch in single and double crochet.

Turtle Hassock: Lily Rug Yarn, 80 yd skeins- 11 Skeins Color One, 14 Skeins Color Two
Turtle Toy: Lily Rug Yarn, 60 yd Skeins- 3 Skeins Color One, 4 Skeins Color Two
Scraps of Black and White Felt for Eyes and Mouth.
Filling is required.
Crochet Hook: For Hassock Q hook. For Toy J hook, No. 10 or English No. 3

Gauge:
For Turtle Hassock – 1 (2 dc Shell) = 2 inches; 2 Shell Rounds = 2 1/2 inches.
For Turtle Toy – 1 sc = 1 inch; 3 sc Rows = 2 1/2 inches.
