1980s Vintage Rainbow Granny Square Jacket Crochet Pattern: Light jacket with granny square yoke and lower sleeves, with the rest in a mesh pattern, buttons in front. Trimmed in a simple shell stitch.

Note: All sizes are made the same. Hook size and gauge determine size.

Women Size: Small (Medium-Large).
Garment width around underarms, 40 (44-46) inches.

Materials: Sport weight yarn: 13 1⁄2 oz in purple for small size (14 oz for medium and large), one oz in lavender for all sizes, and scrap sport weight yarn in a variety of bright colors, not including purple (for granny squares).
Size E (3.6 mm) crochet hook for small size;
Size F (3.75 mm) for medium;
Size G (4 mm) for large, or size required for gauge.
Six 5/8 inch buttons.
2 beads for neck tie ends (optional).

Gauge: For Size Small, Granny Square 5 inches (Size E hook).
For Size Medium, Granny Square = 5 1⁄2 inches (Size F hook).
For Size Large, Granny Square = 5 3/4 inches (Size G hook).
