1970s Vintage Cameo Rose Afghan Crochet Pattern: White squares in afghan stitch, each one with a rose and border design in cross-stitch, are sewn together for a coverlet. The 11 inch squares are easy to handle for those who like to carry their needlework with them.

NOTE: The afghan is done in afghan stitch/Tunisian crochet, using a longer crochet hook that resembles a knitting needle. Instructions for afghan stitch are included but you will need an afghan hook.

Afghan Size: About 45 x 67 inches. Each square = 11 inches.

Materials: Knitting worsted, 11 4-oz skeins main color.
For embroidery, Persian-type needlepoint and crewel yarn (10-yard skeins), 24 skeins each of dark blue and medium blue; 8 skeins each of dark green, medium coral and dark coral; 6 skeins each of medium green, light green, light coral and red.
Afghan hook size G-6 or 4 mm.

Gauge: 4 sts = 1 inch; 4 rows = 1 inch. Each square = 11 inches.
