1980s Vintage Reindeer and Snowflake Pillow Knitting Pattern (some sewing): Reindeer and Snowflake Pillows, perfect for holiday season! Both are knit in basic stockinette stitch with images knit in using chart. Alternately, they can be knit plain and images added using duplicate stitch. The knitted fronts are backed with sewn on fabric and trimmed with cording. Some experience in knitting.

Size: 16 x 16 inches.

Materials: Reynolds Icelandic Lopi (bulky yarn 3.5 oz, 110 yds): (for two pillows) 1 skein each of Red (MC) and Black (CC);
1 pair size 9 (5.5 mm) knitting needles, or size needed for gauge;
1 yard of 54-inch-wide red gabardine fabric;
4 yards of 1/4-inch-wide covered cording in any color;
two 16-inch square pillow forms or loose stuffing.

Gauge: 3 1⁄2 stitches = 1 inch;
4 rows = 1 inch, in Stockinette Stitch (st st).
