1970s Vintage Men’s Granny Square Vest Crochet Pattern: Front zippered vest is made of crocheted granny squares sewn together. Edges are trimmed with rows of single crochet for a finished look.

Size: To fit 36-38; changes for (40-42) inch chest in parentheses.
Length to shoulder, 27 1/2 (29) inches.

Materials: Bear Brand, Fleisher or Botany Shamrock (worsted weight yarn)
5 (6) balls of main color A;
4 (4) balls each of contrasting colors B, C and D.
One No. E (F) crochet hook or 3.5 mm (3.75 mm).
One 20 (21) inch open end zipper.

Gauge: Each square measures 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches worked on No. E crochet hook;
4 x 4 inches worked on No. F Crochet hook.

Note: Both sizes are made the same. Hook, needle size and gauge determine size.
