70s Cabled Coat Knitting Pattern, Shawl Collar Sweater Coat

1970s Vintage Cabled Car Coat Knitting Pattern: Cool weather, cozy cabled car coat has large shawl collar and pockets. An intermediate knitting pattern.

Size: Medium, about 20 inches across back at chest.

Materials: Pingouin’s Caline (Acrylic, mohair and wool, knitting worsted weight yarn 1 1/4 oz ball), 22 balls Mordore;
One pair each knitting needles size 4 and 8 (3.5 and 5 mm) and
One 29 inch or 36 inch circular needle size 8 (5 mm) for collar only or size needed to obtain gauge;
DP needle for cable;
3 large buttons.

Gauge: 6 average sts in pattern = 1 inch on size 8 needles.
