1940s Vintage Jumper Top, Cap and Gloves Crochet Pattern: This very charming set is simple to crochet in cotton, a jumper, a cap, and lacy gloves. Make it in white for Spring to wear with a grey or navy suit, or in your favourite color to wear the rest of the year.
Original UK term pattern and converted US term pattern are both included.
Size: The Jumper: To suit a 34 to 36 inch bust; length, 18 1/2 inches.
Cap: Round head edge, about 18 inches; depth with brim turned up, 6 1/2 inches.
Gloves: All round hand above thumb division, about 7 inches; overall length, 8 inches.
Materials: Strutt’s Milford Knitting Cotton No 8, allow 3 two-oz balls for jumper and 1 ball for cap and gloves;
No 12 and a No 9 Aero crochet hook.
Gauge: On No 12 hook,2 dc groups to 1 inch and 8 rows to 3 inches.
On No 9 hook, 2 dc groups to 1 1/2 inches and 3 rows to 1 1/2 inches.
