1970s Vintage Beach Cover-Up and Bikini Crochet Pattern: Soft plaid hems on shirt and flounced sleeves are horizontal bands of double crochet- single crochet pattern with verticals chain-stitched in later. Filet crochet bodice has narrow, buttonless placket ending in self-tie at neck. Surplice bikini top ties at back and is edged in reverse single crochet; pants have elasticized waist.

Unger Cruise Yarn (60% acrylic and 40% nylon) (a sport weight yarn), 1 1/2
oz. balls. Shirt: 8 (9) balls white, main color (MC);
2 (3) balls pink, contrasting color (CC). Bikini: 3 (4) balls MC, 2 balls CC.
Crochet hooks sizes E and F.
