70s Long Dramatic Cape Pattern, Vintage Knit Cloak Crochet Trim

1970s Vintage Long Dramatic Cape Knitting Pattern, Crochet Banding and Trim: An elegant and dramatic cape, perfect for cooler weather! The main cape in olive green is knit and then banded with crocheted trim in red and more olive green.

Size: One size fits most.
Length from back of neck: 48 inches (3 inches allowed for stretch);
Width around lower edge: 100 inches;
Narrow Braid: approx 3 inches wide; wide Braid: approx 5 1/2 inches wide.

Materials: American Thread Dawn Knitting Worsted (4 oz, 252 yd skeins), 16 Olive Green, 2 each of Scarlet and Watermelon, 1 each of Cardinal, Flame, Antique Gold and Avocado.
Circular knitting needles No. 11 (8 mm) or size to give gauge,
Crochet hooks Sizes H and F (5 and 3.75 mm).
Polyester Thread, 1 spool each Red and Green.
1 large Hook and Eye.

Gauge: 5 sts = 2 inches; 7 rows = 2 inches.
With Size H hook 7 sts = 2 inches.
