1970s Vintage Evening Hood Knitting Pattern: Glitter yarn and mohair was used to make this double sided hood for evening. A day- time version can be made using a plain yarn and repeating the first pattern row only.
Size: 28 cm (11 inches) wide by 142 cm (56 inches) long.
Materials: Jaeger Mohair-Spun (Aran mohair yarn), 5 x 1 oz balls of in main shade, A; Jaeger Astral-Spun (glitter yarn), 5 x 25 gr balls of in contrast colour, B. One pair No. 8 (5 mm) needles pointed at both ends.
One pair No. 10 (6 mm) needles.
Gauge: 16 sts and 28 rows to 10 cm (3.9 inches) over double fabric worked on No. 8 needles
