1970s Vintage Scalloped Sweater Set Crochet Pattern: In sherbet colors of cream, pink, and yellow. Sleeveless shell top zigzags in single and double crochet. Long-sleeved cardigan is straight in double crochet.
Size: 6-8 [(10-12)-(14-16)]. Snug-fitting slipover measures 15 [16-17] inches across back at underarms, 16 [16 1/4- 16 1/2] inches from shoulder to lower edge.
Cardigan measures 16 [17-18] inches across back at underarms, 18 [18 1/2- 19] inches from back of neck to lower edge.
Materials: Brunswick Windrush (worsted weight yarn, 4 oz skeins).
For set: 3 [4-4] ecru (color A), 3 skeins each light dusty rose (B) and saffron (C).
Cardigan in all sizes use aluminum crochet hook size H;
Slipover use H hook for size 6-8, I hook for size 10-12, J hook for size 14- 16, or size to give correct gauge.
Gauge: For cardigan: On size H hook, 7 dc = 2 inches; 2 rows = 1 inch.
For slipover: On size H hook, 1 scallop = 2 1⁄2 inches.
On size I hook, 1 scallop = 2 5/8 inches.
On size J hook, 1 scallop = 2 7/8 inches.
