1980s Vintage Patterned Vest Knitting Pattern: An overall slip stitch pattern vest in soft pastel colors adds interest to the front of this vest. Fasten the belt at the front or back, whichever you prefer.

Size: To fit 32 (34-36-38-40) inch bust.
Length, 21 1/4 (21 1/2- 21 3/4- 22- 22 1/4) inches.

Materials: Fingering yarn 7 (7-8-8-9) oz;
1 (1-2-2-2) oz each of contrasting colors (B, C and D);
1 pair each Nos. 2 and 3 (3 and 3.25 mm) knitting needles;
5 buttons;
Slide buckle, 3/4 inch with 1 1/2 inch bar.

Gauge: 30 sts to 4 inches over sl st patt on No. 3 (3.25 mm) needles.
30 sts and 39 rows to 4 inches over ribbing, when slightly stretched, on No. 3 (3.25 mm) needles.
