1970s Vintage Macrame Bag Pattern with Instructions: Lacy macrame patterns shape a handbag that’s great for summer. Knotted mainly in square knots and half hitches, the strap closure is an unusual French sennit. The bag is lined. Macrame stitch instructions are included.

Size: Approximately 8×10 inches.

Equipment: For macrame: Foam pillow for working surface, about 10×8 inches. T-pins. Tape measure. Scissors. Tapestry needle. All-purpose white glue. Rubber bands, 200 (optional).
For lining: Paper for pattern. Pencil. Straight pins. Sewing needle. White cotton Seine twine #21, 255 yards.

Materials: Two handles, 7 inches wide each.
One metal ring, 1 inch diameter.
For lining: Muslin 36 inches wide, 1/4 yard.
Matching sewing thread.
