1970s Vintage Tweed Coat & Hat Crochet Pattern: Classic coat with patch-pockets is crocheted with two yarns in a 2-stitch pattern. The lapels are part of coat front; a separate collar is sewn on. For brisker days, don a matching hat worked in single crochet with V-stitch cuff. If lining coat you should be comfortable with sewing.

Brunswick Tivolaine (mohair), 25 (26) 40-gram balls, cream (A), and Brunswick Windspun (fingering), 14 (15) 1-oz balls, scarlet (B).
Aluminum crochet hook sizes G/5 and J/9 (or English sizes 7 and 4.) Four buttons.
Four yards lining material.
Matching sewing thread.

Gauge: Coat: 8 sts = 3 inches; 2 rows = 1 inch (pat, size J hook). Hat: 3 sc = 1 inch.
